The Korean manufacturer is said to unveil the Fan Edition of the Samsung Galaxy S21 series at the Galaxy Unpacked event scheduled for October 20. But conflicting reports have emerged that predict otherwise. Several industry sources tweeted that Samsung has yet to put the S21 FE into production. So we won't see it launch until next year.
This delay was first reported earlier this month by SamMobile. The post noted that the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE will not debut until January 2021. However, some were waiting for the S21 Fan Edition to launch in the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked 2.0.
According to the source, the Galaxy S21 Fan Edition will be announced on January 11, 2022. Its addition to the Samsung list will not be marked by a dedicated virtual event, but by a press release. When the Fan Edition is released, Samsung will line up the S22 series for release.
We attribute this setback to the current global chip shortage. That said, all the details regarding the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE have already appeared online. We're learning through a slew of leaks, rumors, and product certifications the new Fan Edition runs the Snapdragon 888 or Expos 2100 on, depending on the region.
